"WALKING BUS"

Walk to school safely, reduce traffic on the roads, keep congestion out of our car park - join our walking bus!

Our walking bus is manned by parent volunteers and operates daily. Children can join the walking bus at designated "stops" and be escorted safely to school and back.

Ask at school for details.

The Health and Safety of our school community is always a priority. We ask all children, parents and visitors to school, to please observe and adhere to the following notices.

VISITORS

All visitors to school, including parents and carers, are respectfully requested to use the main entrance and sign the visitors’ book.

Pupils are not allowed to open any outside door from the inside – please do not encourage them to do so.

Please keep our children safe.

Thank you.

CAR PARK PROTOCOL

Please park only in DESIGNATED CAR PARKING SPACES.

You are politely asked not to park, drop off or

pick up children outside the MAIN ENTRANCE,

in the middle of the DRIVE-ROUND, near or in the GATEWAY, or on any PAVEMENT or PATH in the school grounds.

We ask this for the safety of all our children.

If the car park is full please park outside the school,

without inconveniencing our neighbours.

Please keep our children safe.

Thank you.

JEWELLERY

WATCHES and STUD EARRINGS are the only items of jewellery permitted. All jewellery must be able to be removed by the child him/herself before undertaking all swimming, PE, and other sporting activities. Hooped or dangling earrings present possible hazards and are not allowed in school. Staff are not permitted to remove or replace earrings for children.

Please keep our children safe.

Thank you.

MOBILE PHONES

Children's mobile phones are not allowed in school at any time.

Any child wishing to make an emergency telephone call is allowed to use the telephone in the school office, at their teacher's discretion.

Please keep our children safe.

Thank you.

SWIMMING LESSONS

Swimming lessons are extremely important for the health and safety of all individuals. They are an important part of the curriculum for all pupils when they enter KS2 and are not optional. Parents are asked to encourage their children to participate and the school nurse advises us that coughs and colds need not prevent children taking part in swimming or PE. In general, if your child is well enough to attend school he or she is considered well enough to participate in sporting activities.

Please keep our children safe.

Thank you.
